Nancy Craig has been painting in Acrylic for over fifty years. As her style evolved, so did her use of the medium. Today she paints with a combination of knife and brush on gessoed panels. The effect is decidedly impressionistic. Prices includes traditional gold frames, best for her impressionistic style. Asked to say something about herself, Nan responded in her typical brief and straightforward manner:
“Painting is the medium with which I choose to express myself creatively.
Or it chose me, I’m not sure.”
Nan's paintings are in hundreds of private and corporate collections around the country, including: Harford Community College permanent collection, Harford Mutual Insurance Co. and Harford County Economic Development Commission. She has been the recipient of numerous awards and recognitions. Nancy's work can be seen at RiverView Gallery in Havre de Grace, Maryland, which handles local and internet generated sales.
From mid 2006 to late 2016 Nan, along with her photographer husband, spent much of her time on Eater Island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. She did a number of paintings of the Island.
Since then she has returned to doing some local pieces. Local gallery representation is at RiverView Gallery in Havre de Grace, information at the bottom of the page.
